Instonic Android App We do not sell your data [email protected]

1. Who We Are

Instonic ("we", "us") is an Android app operated by the Instonic Team. This policy explains what information the Instonic app processes, why, who receives it, and the choices you have.

Contact: [email protected]

2. Information We Handle

a) Account information (only if you sign in)

Signing in with Google is optional. If you sign in we process your name, email address and a unique user ID. We never receive your Google password.

b) Links you paste

When you paste a public link, it is sent to our servers so we can find the public media and return download options. We do not ask for, or store, your social media passwords or logins.

c) Cloud Library and Cloud Backup (Premium)

If you use this Premium feature, the videos, photos and audio files you chose to save, together with library details (links, titles, captions, notes, tags, collections, favourites, dates), are stored in our cloud (Google Firebase). Files in your Private Vault are not uploaded.

d) Subscription information

Premium is sold through Google Play. We receive your subscription status and purchase history (through Google Play and RevenueCat). We never receive your card or bank details.

e) Device and other identifiers

  • Advertising ID (used by ad partners to show ads)
  • A hashed device identifier (used to enforce daily download limits and prevent abuse)
  • Firebase installation ID
  • Push notification token

f) Approximate location

Ad partners may derive an approximate location (such as city or country) from your IP address. The app does not use GPS or precise location.

g) App activity and diagnostics

Usage events (for example which feature is used), crash logs, performance and diagnostic data.

h) Support messages

If you contact support from the app, we process the messages you send and your user ID.

i) Clipboard

While the app is open on the Home, platform and Batch screens, it checks whether the text you copied is a supported link, so it can fill it in for you. Only supported links are used. Nothing else from the clipboard is stored or sent.

j) Device permissions

  • Notifications: download updates and app notices.
  • Storage (Android 9 and below): saving files.
  • Foreground service: downloads and audio playback.
  • Vibration.
  • Modify system settings: only if you choose "Set as ringtone/alarm".

You can change permissions any time in your device settings.

3. What We Do Not Collect

Social media passwords, private messages, contacts, precise location, or content from private accounts.

4. How We Use Information

  • To provide the app (downloads, library, cloud backup, Premium, account).
  • To enforce daily limits and prevent abuse and fraud.
  • To show ads in the free version.
  • To understand usage, fix crashes and improve the app.
  • To send notifications about downloads, important notices and new features.
  • To answer support requests.

5. Advertising

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob and Unity Ads. These partners may use your Advertising ID and approximate location to show and measure ads. Premium users do not see ads.

  • In the EU, EEA and UK we ask for your consent with Google's consent form before showing ads. You can change your choice any time in the app: Settings > Privacy options (where shown).
  • You can reset or opt out of personalised ads in your phone: Settings > Google > Ads.
  • For rewarded ads, your user ID may be passed to the ad network so the reward can be verified.

6. Who Receives Information (Service Providers)

We do not sell your personal information. We use these providers, who process data for us or under their own policies:

7. How Long We Keep Information

  • Account, cloud backup, collections and usage records: until you delete your account.
  • Support messages: until you delete your account or for 24 months, whichever is first.
  • Crash and analytics data: kept by our providers under their standard retention periods and not used to identify you.
  • Subscription and payment records: kept by Google Play according to its policies.

8. Delete Your Account and Data

In the app: Settings > tap your name/email > Delete Account. Everything linked to your account (profile, cloud backup, collections, usage records, support messages) is deleted. Full details and an email option: https://instonic.app/delete-account/

Files saved on your own phone stay there until you delete them or uninstall the app.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA/CPRA, or Brazil, Turkey, India, Indonesia under local laws) you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to withdraw consent, to object to processing, and to complain to your data protection authority. Email [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days. We do not sell personal information and do not discriminate against anyone for using these rights.

Where GDPR applies, our legal bases are: providing the service you asked for (contract), our legitimate interests in security, fraud prevention and improving the app, your consent (ads and notifications where required), and legal obligations.

10. International Transfers

Our providers operate globally, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, with appropriate safeguards where required.

11. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Cloud data is protected by access rules tied to your account. Your Private Vault PIN stays on your device. No system is perfectly secure.

12. Children

Instonic is not for children under 13 (under 16 where local law requires). We do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes

We will post updates on this page with a new date, and tell you in the app for important changes.
